Email Marketing · Vancouver

Email marketing Vancouver: the one channel you actually own.

Ads and social sit behind an algorithm you do not control. Email does not. When someone opts in, you can reach them directly — again and again — for as long as you send something worth reading. Done right, email nurtures the leads you already have and turns them into customers. Done wrong, it is a monthly blast nobody opens.

  • A list you own, not rented from a platform
  • Automation tied to your sales pipeline
  • Useful content, not spam nobody opens

The real problem

Most email is a monthly blast that nobody reads.

Here is what usually happens. A Vancouver business collects some emails, sets up a tool, and sends the same newsletter to everyone once a month. Open rates fall. The list goes stale. Over time it feels like email just does not work.

Email works fine as a channel. The real problem is that one message went to everyone, whether they were a hot lead or a customer from three years ago. There was no segmentation, no reason for each person to open it, and no link to what the sales team was doing.

Email is the one channel you actually own. There is no algorithm deciding who sees your message. But that only matters if the list is healthy, the people on it opted in, and each email has a real reason to exist. That is the work — list health, segmentation, useful content, and a clear tie to your sales pipeline. The goal is better sending, at whatever frequency actually earns an open.

What you get

What email marketing covers when it is done properly.

  • List health and cleanup

We start with the list you have. Remove dead addresses, fix the sign-up path, and make sure everyone on it actually opted in. A smaller clean list beats a big stale one — and it protects your ability to land in the inbox at all.

  • Segmentation

Not everyone gets the same email. We split the list by where each person is — new lead, engaged prospect, current customer — so the message fits. This is the single biggest reason open rates go up.

  • Newsletters worth opening

A regular newsletter that gives something useful alongside the occasional offer. When people learn something each time, they keep opening, and that trust is what makes the offer actually work.

  • Email automation and nurture

Set up sequences that run on their own. A welcome series for new sign-ups, a nurture track that stays in front of a lead until they are ready, and follow-ups that trigger automatically from real actions, so nobody has to remember to send them manually.

  • Connected to your sales pipeline

Email should feed your sales team, not sit in its own silo. We connect the sends and the sign-ups to your CRM so sales knows who opened, who clicked, and who is warming up — and can act on it.

  • Deliverability basics

The plumbing that keeps you out of the spam folder — proper sending setup, a warm sender reputation, and honest content. No bought lists, no tricks. Those tank deliverability and put your whole domain at risk.

How it works

How the email work gets built.

  1. 1

    Audit and clean

We look at your current list, tool, and past sends. Clean the list, fix the sign-up flow, and set the sending setup so your email lands in the inbox instead of spam.

  2. 2

    Segment and plan

Split the list by stage and define what each group should hear. Map the newsletter rhythm and the automation sequences to the steps in your sales pipeline.

  3. 3

    Build and send

Write the newsletters and build the automation inside the Online Visibility System. Connect everything to your CRM so sales can see and act on engagement.

  4. 4

    Review and adjust

Watch what people actually open and click — not vanity metrics. Cut what does not work, do more of what does, and keep the list healthy month to month.

Common questions

Questions before you start.

I will not make empty promises about open rates or revenue, because no honest marketer can guarantee those numbers. What I promise is a clean, opted-in list, real segmentation, automation tied to your sales pipeline, and content people actually want to read. Start with the free Growth Readiness Assessment and we will see if it is a fit.

Does email marketing still work in 2026?+

Yes, when it is done right. Email is the one channel you own — no algorithm decides who sees your message, unlike ads or social. It works when there is a real reason to open each email and the list opted in. It fails when it is one generic blast to everyone. How most businesses use the channel is what decides the outcome.

Can you use a list I bought or scraped?+

No, and you should not want to. Bought and scraped lists have not opted in. Sending to them gets marked as spam, wrecks your sender reputation, and can put your whole domain in the spam folder for the real contacts too. We only email people who chose to hear from you. That is the honest version and the version that actually works.

What is segmentation and why does it matter?+

Segmentation means splitting your list into groups — new leads, engaged prospects, current customers — and sending each group a message that fits where they are. It is the single biggest reason open rates go up. A new lead and a three-year customer should not get the same email. When the message fits, people open it.

How does email connect to my sales team?+

We tie the sends and sign-ups to your CRM so your sales team can see who opened, who clicked, and who is warming up. Automation can flag a lead as sales-ready and hand it off at the right moment. Email stops being a marketing silo and starts feeding the pipeline directly.

Do you guarantee a certain open rate or revenue?+

No. Any honest marketer will tell you the same. Open rates and revenue depend on your list, your offer, and how useful your content is — things we improve but cannot promise a number on. What I promise is a clean list, real segmentation, sequences tied to your pipeline, and no vanity metrics. Structure, not spin.

How much does email marketing cost?+

Email content and automation are delivered inside the Online Visibility System: $1,500 one-time setup, then $1,400 per month, month-to-month. When the strategy behind the sequences needs a senior hand, that is shaped in the Growth Strategy Partner engagement. See the services page for the full scope.

What email platform do you use?+

Most often HubSpot, since many of the Vancouver businesses I work with already run their CRM there and email works best tied directly to sales data. If you are already on another platform — Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar — we can often work inside it rather than force a switch, as long as it supports the segmentation and automation the plan needs.

How often should I send a newsletter?+

For most 10-to-50-employee businesses, every two to four weeks is the right rhythm — often enough to stay in front of your list, rare enough that every send still feels worth opening. Automated sequences (welcome, nurture, follow-up) run separately from the newsletter and trigger from a person's actions, on their own schedule rather than the calendar.
